Permit Guidance Sheet
(Note:
Not a “legal description of Any building or improvement of 100 (one hundred) sq/ft or more requires a permit and the following information is required at time of application with the township’s Building Permit Officer – Brian Fahey's office hours are Monday 5pm - 9pm and Friday 6am - 2pm. Walk-ins are welcome. Building plans can only be reviewed from 10am - 12noon on Fridays by appointment only: If applying for a building permit for a new residential dwelling – applicant must have a valid sewage permit and driveway permit in hand at time of application for the building permit and the following. 1. Property owner’s name, present address and telephone number. 2. Contractor’s name, address and telephone number 3. Sketched plan showing the following: § Property lines § Existing structures § Proposed structure(s) and size(s) § Location of well and/or septic system, where applicable § Driveways § Waterways 4. Sewage application number 5. Driveway permit number § Township driveway permit number (obtain prior to applying for building permit) § State driveways permit number (highway occupancy permit) Obtain prior to application for building permit (Contact PennDOT @ (717) 848-6230 6. Evidence of storm water management approval (if required by Township Engineer) Construction in the Township other than residential may require the following: 1. Land Development Plan 2.
