NOTICE: If you have questions about service with Waste Management expiring 6/30/2020, please call 1-800-634-4595. If you have questions about the new service with Republic Services beginning 7/3/2020, please look at the attached Republic Services Trash & Recycling Service Guide to find answers to your questions, this flyer will also be mailed to your home as it explains the change of service to Friday for the township. Your initial service will be set up the same way you had it with Waste Management and you do not need to call in to set up service or schedule delivery. The township was informed the new recycling carts will be delivered starting Monday, June 29, 2020 with an attached informational flyer. If you had a trash cart with Waste Management for trash that will be delivered as well. If you had tag service with Waste Management those tags have already been mailed to your address by Republic Services, again, no need to call to set up. If you were currently opted out of service with Waste Management, you automatically opted out with Republic Services and there is no need to call to confirm you are opted out. Any questions that aren’t answered by the flyer can be answered by calling 800-210-9675.

19.2 sqare miles or 12,321 acres; 42.28 total Township road miles; 4,515 people, 1,704 households and 1,284 families residing in Franklin Twp. (2000 census)

The Board of Supervisors consists of five members. The Chairmanship of the Board is voted on by the Board of Supervisors. The authority of the Board is based upon the State’s Second Class Township Code.

The Board serves as the legislative body of the township, setting policy, enacting ordinances and resolutions, adopting budgets and levying taxes.  The board also performs executive functions such as formulating the budget, enforcing ordinances, approving expenditures and hiring employees.
